I think bose stands for Buy Other Stereo Equipment.
No seriously, if you have that much money to dump on Bose headphones, you may as well get an equivalent from some other brands at less cost, or pay the same and get something that sounds a lot better.
For headphones, especially good looking ones, I think you should be looking at the Audio Technica range of headphones. Specifically the ES-7 for good looks, portability and decent sound.
Grado and Alessandro are other brands that will be worth your time researching into.
Why don't I like BOSE? For the brief time i heard the triports, All i heard was copious amount of bloated and muddy bass. I dont know if that floats your boat, but it certainly doesn't constitute sound quality. Their marketing terminology is also quite amusing
Current Rigs:

4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro

Sorry for the double stackup post lol. Yea, whomever invented the SA6 pretty much deserves a medal for producing a product that is just slightly less in sound quality compared to the SE530, at much less cost.
+ the VQ system is kinda like a hardware equaliser to get what they call "your audio footprint".Current Rigs:

They were given the award since you can actually change the sound that comes out of it with some filters and adjustments that don't muffle the sound like a player's EQ can.

@JkPwNsTeR, I know the costs, I just wanted suggestions on them, but thanks
@Blackstar, I listen mostly to 80's music (Rock, Soul, R&B), sometimes Classical music. As to open or closed, either is okay. If its rock, definately go grado or alessandro, their headphones have very good synergy for rock music. The midrange is upfront and the music sound very live.
The headphones will work for just about anything, but here are the budget models you might be able to afford (you should be able to, since they arent that "expensive")
*Alessandro MS-1
*Grado Labs SR-80
*Grado Labs SR-125
*Koss KSC-75, they are clip-ons not headphones. (you can pick these up for ~10 dollars over in the US, they sound similar to grados but are cheaper, give them about 70 hours and they'll sound beautiful, I have used mine for over 4 years, and still use them)
They'll also sound reasonable for classical music, but if you on average listen to a lot more classical than rock, I would go for some AKG's or Audio Technicas.
*Audio Technica ES-7
*Audio Technica ATH-A700 (Not portable and very large)
*Audio Technica ATH-AD700 (Not portable and very large)
*AKG - Out of your price range.Current Rigs:

Meh, I'll stick with earbuds that are <50CAD, maybe the Sleek Audio 6 or some Ultimate ears. The most I've spent so far on earbuds is hmm... 3.94USD including shipping and handling for the DX Oranges.
I suppose I'll check out the Creative EP-630, hopefully they're what I've been looking for.

Where do you even find $8000 headphones?!? Is it made from 100% diamonds and gold or something?
