If I have time to play Boxman, then I'm pretty sure I"ll have time to play games on an iPhone. Not that I have one. Not that I want one.

I gotta agree with Steve though, real games (and when I say real, I mean like Doom or something, not 2nd rate cell phone games) seem unpractical on a complete touch surface.

Its a neat idea, but I dunno what'll come out of it. Time will tell I guess.

Even if there products aren't that great? I think that playing games for an extended period of time would not be good for your hands, they'd probably be numb after touching a hard glass surface with no tactile response. And what I meant to say was, where would you be when you have time to play games on your iPhone?
What we are trying to show is that there is a difference between being a fan (which we are) and then being a fanboy (which you seem to be). The difference between the two are that fans can see when a product/company they like and admire are doing things right and releasing things that are good, and when that company are doing things wrong and/or when other products/companies are doing things better or releases things that are good/better. While fanboys are blinded in that they think all other companies/competition are not as good and that the company they are being a fanboy of can do no wrong.

In relation to when you would be able to use the IPhone as a gaming device;

I would use it in any situation I would use my PSP. If I am on the bus or subway, if i am somewhere and have nothing to do or have time to kill. If I am chillin at home and am bored. If I am out and there is a situation which allows me to be free enough that I would want to play. There are many more but you get the idea (hopefully).

Tails2, the therm "fanboy" is quite offensive. You shouldn't be throwing it around just because of a disagreement regarding products from different brands.

The "kid playing games in the bus/subway unaware of his surroundings" is actually a topic seen by many psychologists and sociologists with great concern. It's just normal (and healthy even!) that SteveMB93 doesn't feel much interest in playing games on a phone.

Indeed, this is a very smart move from Apple. It will attract more iPhone buyers/fans, and consolidate the current ones. It will also give them more edge over the competition. But personally, it does not interest me much either. Despite technically impressive, Monkey Ball and Spore seem just like kill-time games to me. I feel much more tempted to play PSX games with an emulator.

Eh, it might be cool for some mins, but it will never be as good as a DS Lite or a PSP etc.

Adobe seems to think the iPhone will have flash :P

Doesn't look like a total useless SDK to me.....

There appears to be an update. Wait... I didn't say the SDK was useless, did I? If I did, I was wrong. Adobe: Flash for iPhone might be a little harder than we thought - Engadget
