I wouldn't hesitate to say the iPod Touch is one of the best out there, with its enormous and crystal clear screen, and the ability to view ebpages, which believe it or not actually look pretty good. The only reason keeping me from charging to a Apple store is its enormous price. I mean seriously, 8 Gb for $500?!?!

Players: Meizu M6 SP 4GB, iPod 4G Monochrome 20GB, iPod Video 5G 80GB, iPod Photo 30GB, iPod Touch 1G 8GB, Sandisk Sansa m240 2GB, Thompson TMS T-F10E 256MB, and no, I'm not an Apple Fanboy (I merely like fixing electronics, and iPods being the most readily available...). If you could get all the iPods that I own for $100 would'nt you go for it?

I take it you are refering to US dollars? Just out of curiosity I had a browse at the New Zealand Apple site and was surprised to see that the 8GB iTouch is only $479.00 NZ around $369.00 USD and around $500 USD for the 16GB.

I think they are pretty slick but the whole iTunes thing really really bugs me.

Whilst I have grown tired of waiting for Meizu to release a truly new player and have strayed over to the Cowon side if they released a cut down version of the M8 without a phone I would be all over it.

First off, the iTouch is 300 or 400 US and not 500. I would buy one if I could justify 300 bucks for a protable device (with only 8GB of storage) and it didn't require me to use flippin' iTunes. I love my PMP's that just look like external hard drives.

yeah right stonecoldd:P but i dont know i saw the YP2 from samsung and :/ not that great then the M7 great =) but with NO Wifi, 2.81" screen(too small) and that release - only god knows, heard something from end Q2008 but end Q2008 thats too LATE! So the ipod Touch is very good i think maybe a little bit expensive but...:P i saw it in the lokal MediaMarket and was rellay impressed^^.With the screen, and the sound was pretty good i think ?:D One thing i noticed was that the volume was not that high :/ (I hear music with my M6SP normal FW somthing like vol.10 ->EP-630)So i dont know i heard somthing that apple reduced the vol. for the european market is that right

PS: stonecoldd i like your sig:D

Personally, I wouldn't mind the iPod Touch... it's a really cool idea for an MP4 player, with all the functions it has. Only if it opened up its file transfer capabilities... lol but yes, get an iPod Touch

If you have the money... buy an iPod Touch... it doesn't matter if its sound is not good... it doesn't matter if the regulation imposed by Apple are annoying... it doesn't matter if you are limited to Apple domains... just buy an iPod Touch.

But... as a favour to us that warned you about it... and share with you some time... be sincere with us and tell us how that player makes you feel... but sincerely... please.

We will appreciate it
