It certainly looks pretty neat... the expandable memory makes it worth the money IMO. Just searched it on Amazon and they're doing pre-orders. $149.99 for the 4GB model. HERE

Looks cool. . But I'm sure you still need the creative software to update your files (as in all creative's players) and that sucks..

The SD is a true advantage, let's just hope it's functional without any problems. Before I bought my meizu I was looking for the sandisk sansa ones that also has SD expansion.. But then I realized many ppl had issues with it. A tech guy in an audio store also told me that the SD expansion is a new tehcnology with mp3 players that's still isn't 100% functional, which is why most of the players don't use that feature thesedays.. He was the one who recommended me to go for the meizu instead..

Solid Snake likes the box, too! http://mgsbox.ytmnd.com/ :D

If the M6SE has solid buttons to use for volume and an SD slot, and comes in 16GB, and has the ability to add new flash games, etc., and has a really cool GUI, it would surpass this thing by far. OH, and no bugs!! Fix them before they release it.

Hopefully the SE will be far better in quality than the M6, since the M6 is kinda Meizu's first venture into the video DAP world, and I sorta consider the M6 their beta of players of this type. Everything before the M6 seems to be simple OLED screen flash players that don't really have anything extra.

Oh, and to airlines... 3 millimeters, that's 3 credit cards of thickness, is not a reason to turn a player down. If it fits in your pocket with some room to spare, there is no reason to make it any smaller than that. Even if it fits in one pocket, and there's little room left, then you're obviously carrying too much crap, so empty your pockets. One pocket for mp3 player, one for checkbook and wallet, and that's all you need.

    Also, xx-c, you kinda linked to the exact same page I linked to in my first post... ^_^;;

No offense to box fans! :P I'm sure the box is cool too, it's just that so many videos show a minute or two of the box, and while the box is nice, it's not the reason I clicked on the video. I sincerely apologize to the box, boxes everywhere, and anyone who loves boxes. :D

I will however, draw the line at the music. Too loud and I didn't watch the whole video because of it. Totally took the focus off the player.

    Way to go...

Nice DAP, definitely in the style of our beloved M6. looking at the features boot time and FW hooks I suspect the 2 share similar basic hardware, thickness comes from the SDHC slot. Copy, inspiration, homage? No, it's just a design trend. Apple is going there to for their nano refresh...

I bet the audio quality will be better and the FW less buggy, not to mention a much nicer GUI than the M6. For those who want a simple DAP that just works (and yet want to stay away from Apple) this might be it.
I can attest to creative's know-how with digital audio and mp3 players (my Zen Micro still works perfectly). Sure it's more expensive, (probably € 300 for 16Gb at lauch) but makes sense for european customers, no distribution bottleneck, and full support.

Overall: amazing player. And remamber copy is the higher form of tribute. (go tell Meizu...) :D

Creative Mp3 players became very poor quality after the Zen Micro. Many users have had problems with malfunctioning players and very poor technical support.

So, why do people seem to act like "oh, too thick" over 3 millimeters, and seemingly anything over 1 millimeter more? That's literally, on screen, only this much more --> II . 3 millimeters. Get over it.

Anything under 1.2 centimeters is not thick. Unless you're talking about a credit card, or a piece of paper.

There is a video and photo preview of the Zen on generationmp3.com :
    http://www.generationmp3.com/index.p...u-creative-zen

At the end of the video there is a size comparison of the Zen VS a M6... Well the Zen is not THAT thick after all

And the User Interface seems amazing too  ...

If it was cheaper and UMS (and prettier ?) it would definitely be a must.

I've always have had a good experience with Creative's products. Unlike Apple which I had a horrendous experience with. Even though most are claiming they ripped of the Meizu design I don't really care. I'll support them since it's not Apple. That may seem like a shallow response but I have good reason to say that. I'm just glad that Creative copied a good company like Meizu to begin with unlike others.

I wouldn't chose this over the M6. The M6 has better buttons, and looks a lot better. Also, the M6s battery might be better.

Dima, a battery is a battery. Only the size (amount of charge it carries) and the voltage can be changed, aside from the chemical makeups that determine what type of battery it is.

have you ever compared the m3 to the m6?
the m6 seems fat compared to the m3..yes, thats the 3mmm diffrence...
it doesn't seem like a lot but on 1 cm its 33%...which probably does seem like a lot

No but I can compare my M6 to my wallet and I can fit both into my pocket with room to spare. I don't have to struggle to fit my wallet into my hand or hold it one handed, and it's not a burden to have in my pocket. My wallet is 2 cm thick, as wide as the M6 and twice the height.
