Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThank you all that provided information. That video really showed Touch's features. I really like it how you can use the TouchFlo thing, its so cool. But the keyboard feature might be pretty hard to use... Only if that video showed how movies can be played on there. Well, when the M8 comes out, I'll see if it is compatible in Australia. If not, the Touch is for me :D
Thanks to all once again.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Just quicky about the keyboard , I own 3 windows Mobile touch screen phones , acer N50 hp ipaq (One with the camera) and the acer n30 (One with GPS)....
All of them you can vary the size of the buttons to make it easier for your fingers to press the keys on the keyboard... You can surley do this on the HTC touch , but im not sure if they guy found that setting under the control panel system.... Im not sure... It may be true that its difficult seeing as all my PDA/ipaq systems have larger 3.5-4" screens whereas this is only 2.8"Click the little (+/-) button next to someone to reward or punish someone

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsOh really? You can adjust the keyboard size? Does it just mean that you have to scroll the keyboard across to reach for other keys?

No , You adjust the key size and then it gets rid of some of they keys and just gives you the qwerty layout. Im unsure of this on the HTC toutch but its standard on windows mobile phones. Sensitivity of the touch screen is not an adjustable setting although you can calibrate the screen if it is missligned via the system tool.

Can you change the layout of the HTC Touch keyboard? Like make the buttons larger? And is the touchscreen sensitive or not?Meizu M8 MiniOne

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFor sure the specifications of the M8 are impressive, but it is still a project and not a real product on the market, so we cannot be sure how the final product will really be, when and where it will be available, and its price.
HTC Touch has three major strong points in my opinion:
1) It is really pocketable and slim, way better than most PDAs;
2) TouchFlo makes easier and faster to access to common functions (and looks cool too);
3) (IMO) It looks really good and sleek, much better than in pictures.
The first two points make it a better device for frequent use as a phone and access to common tasks such as sms (but then you get back to the usual WM6 interface).
I was skeptical too on the low frequency of the OMAP processor, but I have recently read on mrpalm.com (only in Thai) that Windows Mobile 6 has been optimized for this dual core CPU and this makes the Touch quite snappy to use, even as GPS navigator.
Plus they wrote it can be easily overclocked (via sw I think) by 30%: for sure this option is not optimal for normal use, but can be considered if sometimes we need some extra computing power.
For sure Touch with TouchFlo is a move in the right direction and very good product even if not the ultimate one (a Chimera consumers desire, companies promise but never release).
Personally I'm considering to buy it, but I will wait some time and HTC Kaiser to come out in the hope its (steep) price will drop a little.
Question: in the specifications of M8 it says that it runs WCE6 and NOT WM6, what's the difference? Same kernel but different GUI?
Thank you all.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postslite, this youtube video explains some keyboard features:

There is (like you said) a function to enlarge the keyboard, and another new way of entering text is in there. Go view the video, it's all there.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFor anything that involves typing I use a program called PhonePad which is an input system similiar to that of your average cellphone with keys 0-9 built in T9. As for typing in Chinese I have another input system giving you text input similiar to your average phone that allows Chinese input. But I would say because of the lack of tactile feedback my accuracy has gone down but maybe just because I am getting used to a new phone layout. I can still type pretty fast, one handed!
My original comment about the Touch not being ideal for an MP3/4 player was probably something I should have not commented on yet because it wasn't until yesterday that I actaully used my Touch for listening to music instead of my M6. I was mainly going on a hunch. looking on Ebay 4GB microSD cards run around 60USD and it has been said that by the end of the year 8GB card will be out giving the Touch equal capacity to the iPhone. Navigating through music was easy, maybe even easier then the M6 due to its sensative and sometimes jumpy scroll bar.
I'm gonna give it another try today and decide if I could really give up my M6.
Here's the pic of PhonePad:

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsCool entering system there.
A question: Can Windows Mobile 6.0 input/read chinese characters? And consequently, can the HTC Touch do that? Or would you bave to upgrade/hack it.Meizu M8 MiniOne

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsFor reading Chinese and even being able to send sms in Chinese you can use a program called CE-Star which comes free with the English version in Chinese speaking countries. Along with the T9 input that I previously mentioned, I also found a nice program for inputing Chinese.
