meizu=Demon race.....
In fact,"mei"(魅)means charm,"zu"(族）means race, we
may consider the word meizu as "something charmful"
But the word "mei" do has a meaning of Demon in ancient Chinese.

hah,that a good translation，but I'll give you a better explanation.The word "mei" means an evilspirit or a demon in ancient Chinese legend.Nowadays, we usually use the word "meili" which literal means "the devil's power" and it's translated as "charm" in English. So the word "meizu" has many means ideed:the charming race, the modern race, even the demon race....

Whew.... I saw /\/\@D/\/\@/\/ in recent posts and thought I was in the pooh. Link does not work for me seems to get hung up through WorldLingo translation but thank you xx-c for my 15 sec of fame .
