    Mobile phones... what type?

Currently (and been) deciding on what type of phone to get, generally I'm interested in 3 types of phones:

    1. Swivel flip (like the Nokia N93)
    2. Slider
    3. Standard Flip.

What type do you guys favour more? I've done a general consensus with my friends, but would also like to gather the opinions of those around the world.

All have their advantages, but the swivel flip is hella kewl, although rather overpriced.
    Current Rigs:

    4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
    2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use
    8GB iPod Touch 2G > Shure SE530

I personally like slider or flip phones. Swivel phones are Ok I guess... but they aren't that you know... exciting. My friend has a swivel phone, the nokia whateva you call it, it turns to become a camera, and then turns one more to become a music player that phone. The swivel gets boring... it just acts like a normal phone when sum1 rings you...

If you have a flip or slide phone, it looks awesomely different

I dunno though, slide phones seems to be "in" now. like almost everyone at uni has a slider lol. The swivel flip is something unique i guess. :D

I'd go for standard flip or candy bar.

but isn't candybar annoying lol? You have to keylock it everytime you put it in your pocket otherwise you'll call someone

I like Nokia's candy-bar form factor phones. I recently purchased a 6275i, and it is the best phone I have ever had. It doesn't dial by itself, it has the option to lock keypad after x amount of minutes, the display quality is amazing, it has lots of features (including a great camera)...

Only thing I wish it did have...
-Built-in flash memory (high capacity) for MP3s - I have a 1GB card and it's ok for now
-4-5MP camera (it has a 2MP with flash)
    -HSDPA/WiMAX
    -WiFi
-Dual Mode GSM/CDMA (/Tri mode HSDPA)

    It will come... Eventually
    I'm out

Well I think i've narrowed down my choices to the following 2 phones:

    1. Motorola V6
    2. Samsung D900

The V6 has HSDPA and 3g support whereas the D900 is lacking both. But the D900 has a 3.13MP camera. Its hard to decide.. I well know that the V6 will be futureproof, but then it's not likely i'll be using the same phone after 2 years...

    Hard decision...

I need a new phone as well. I was actually thinking of going for the Motorola A1200 (MING). Take a look at it. It has a decent price as well as a plethora of features. I heard the camera is pretty good and it has some neat capabilities with its Linux OS.

Careful when choosing Motorola;i cant wait to get rid of mine. The battery is awful every night the damn things on its charger. The sound quality of the MP3 player isnt the best either.Nice big display though.8 months and counting and back to Sony-Ericsson i think.

I'm not very fond of motorola, simply because of their itap messaging system. I feel that its rather slow compared to what the rest use (T9).

Samsung, Nokia and SE are great for SMS'ing though.

I thought that the miniONE was only released as a phone in China. Everywhere else, it will be marketed as a mp3 player only.

Ming A1200's OS still has many bugs in it.

It was a phone motorola released to test the market on linux smartphones.
