So I got a Samsung Galaxy S2 HD LTE but...

I don't understand something because I haven't really delved deep into the android scene.

I bought this phone from taobao if anyone knows what that is. It seems to have some custom rom on it. It's 组长1.2. Also the phone should have 1gb of ram but when I check the system it says 751mb of ram.

Those are the two things that bug me about this phone. I wouldn't know how to tell if it was a fake but it was cheaper than it would have been in store or even from China's newegg site. After realizing this I had a friend try and help me ask the guy I bought it from some questions. He said I can't change the system or something. My friend tried to translate it but she couldn't do so clearly. One sentence she said was "you can change but now no one can use to be change"... so I don't know what that means.

Can anyone help shed some light? It doesn't seem like a fake phone. I'm playing a mkv and it looks amazing. It's not slow or anything. If it's not fake it came from Korea because all the packaging is korean. What's going to happen when ICS rolls around? Is there anyway I could get Samsung's ROM onto this phone (or any other ROM)? How come it's saying I only have 751mb of ram?

This phone is only sold on South-Korea.
组长1.2 is a Chinese custom ROM for the Galaxy S2 HD LTE, mostly aimed at giving it Chinese localisation.

Ah, so it probably is a legit phone then right?

I got it for about 3200rmb.

So would I be able to put any other ROMS on it without a problem? I dont know how this stuff works tbh. I'm just wondering if there will be any problems for me, someone who's not very good with Chinese, down the line. Especially if I decide to go back to the US or something.

It's also weird how when I go to the android store most of the stuff seems to be sexy girl this sexy girl that... never saw those apps on my meizu o.O.

I'm assuming that since I'm running off of a rom I have root right?

And any idea abou the 751mb ram thing?

Is there a way to add Chinese pinyin to Swype? Thing is awesome for English but I can only switch it to Korean....

Well first of all, you can easily see if its a fake or not:
Is the screen resolution 800x480 or 1280x720? Easy to distinguish.

On the RAM "issue": The other 250mb are taken up by the system, thats normal.
