Anyone else looking to get this phone? So far we know that it'll have a curved 4.6" 1280x720 display (probably SAMOLED+), and more than likely an OMAP4460 or OMAP4470 SoC.
This is a teaser from Google/Samsung:

Other rumoured specs include:
- 2000mAh battery
- Aluminium backing
- 1GB RAM
- Icecream Sandwich OS
- No front facing buttons (like Honeycomb tablets)
Anyone else thinking of getting one?

Thanked 24 Times in 15 PostsIf I had the money I´d probably go for it
But I´m definitely lookig forward to next week's (11.10.2011) release and its specs
On the topic of the CPU: Why not the Exynos? What is so different about the OMAP? Any rumours on the clock-speed?

*sigh*
What with Google's business model being entirely about doing what the market wants, and gathering information on what people like/dislike, you can be sure it's going to be a profound object of desire to both phone geeks an ordinary users.
It'll also be rooted within I'd say about a week...
I too wish I had the money..

Considering the rumors point to the Nexus Prime being unveiled at the "Samsung Unpacked" event next week -not to mention Samsung's ongoing role as Google's OEM- it would seem rather awkward to invite TI to the party.
I vote the new 1.5 GHz Exynos processor announced last week.Last edited by chengdude; 10-05-2011 at 01:17 PM.

Thanked 46 Times in 41 PostsI agree, that's what I first thought. But the 32nm 1.5GHz Exynos hasn't even started sampling yet, so there's little chance it'll be that SoC. So they either use the existing 45nm design and overclock it, or go with a TI SoC. Considering Google is commissioning the project, I doubt Samsung had much say in the matter.
I could be wrong (I hope I am, a 32nm Exynos would be ultra awesome)!

Thanked 46 Times in 41 PostsApparently the official specs have been revealed. They look reasonably legit.
o Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
o 9mm thin
o 4.65-inch 1280 x 720-pixel Super AMOLED HD with curved glass
o TI OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz
o 1GB of RAM
o 32GB of built-in storage
o 5-megapixel camera on the back, 1.3-megapixel in the front
o 1080p HD video capture support
o LTE/HSPA depending on carrier
o Wi-Fi a/b/g/n
o NFC
o 1,750 mAh battery
Samsung Galaxy Nexus full specs revealed; Verizon Wireless exclusive
Not too shabby if true. I'm guessing that they opted for a high quality camera instead of just jumping on the MOAR MEGAPIXELZ bandwagon.

Thanked 46 Times in 41 PostsOh lol, more leaked info which conflicts with the last. I love rumours. :P
This time it's from GSMArena (who I'd say are a lot more respectable than BGR, but who knows when it comes to rumours). Revised specs:
1.5GHz Exynos + PowerVR SGX543MP2 (that's a dual core GPU, for those playing at home)
8MP, full 1080p HD camera with "improved sensor" (my guess is back-illuminated)
4.65-inch, 1280x720 display
2050mAh battery (:O)
http://www.gsmarena.com/source_close_to_go...s-news-3239.php
As much as I want this particular rumour to be true, I'm still convinced that they'll use an OMAP SoC. We'll see!

Thanked 46 Times in 41 PostsLP hasn't been updated in months. The author said he was re-writing it from scratch, but then got distracted with his new project UberMusic.
I imagine the ICS launcher is heavily GPU accellerated, so it's going to be better than LP in terms of performance. LP is based on the stock 2.0 Android launcher.
