give me your honest opinion about this

i'll try to keep it simple and short :
im 22 years old and im currently a student for civil engineering ,majoring in construction engineering. by the end of this month i will be finishing my 1st year and so i'll have 3 more years to go ... 4 months ago i applied for architecture in the same institute (its one of the best institutes in the world called the Technion, in Israel) and i got accepted ... problem is , its a 5 year program !!! architecture is the subject that im really passionate about and i love it , and im a pretty good artist ,i can draw , play instrumentals , sing , have a great sense of style and what not ...
the thing is ..I HATE IT here in israel i can't live here any longer i want to go to a sane country (my Finland for example or Sweden...) ASAP so i'm torn between two things ... is it fruitful to study architecture ? meaning is it hard to find a decent job in this subject ? and does it pay off ? because i know that in construction engineering i will never have problems finding a job ! so should i keep studying construction engineering or should i study what i love
but possibly won't find a good job in

but even if the odds of finding a job as an architect is 10X times as hard as finding a job as a civil engineer ? i dont know why but its scaring the shit out of me :S

Do you have some kind of academic counsellor at your university? If yes, you may want to talk to him about the advantages and disadvantages of studying architecture, e.g. what exactly is taught in the classes. I study German literature because I love reading, but had I known what the classes would be like, I'd never ever have chosen that subject!

I don't know a lot about architecture, but why don't you try to gather some information? Try to "enter" their world. I once was given the following advice by a HR consultand: if you want to know more about a specific job, try to contact a person who works in this job. For example, find some architect who lives in your city and write him a mail, saying that you are not sure if you want to study architecture, too, and if you could call him within a few days for 10 to 15 minutes so that you can ask him a few questions about his job. Usually, people are happy to talk about their jobs, so when he says yes, call him at the specified time and ask him about his job, e.g. if it pays off, what advice he would give a new student, etc. At the end ask him if he knows maybe one or two more people who do the same or similar busines like him and would maybe be willing to talk to you. This way, you not only get an awful lot of information about architecture as a job, but you also get to know some people in the business.

Maybe you will discover that the stuff you love (drawing, singing) cannot be used as an architect, because you have to calculate or so, I don't know. Then why not keep your passion as a hobby and work as an engineer some time?
