    Hi all, I was on a music competition yesterday and kind of felled in love with "disco metal".
    But now the problem is i don't know any artists playing disco metal, so maybe someone could help me out with a few examples?
    Artist or just a song, give me all you know!

    Thanks

    I've never heard of Disco-metal, but If you want some of the best disco, try the Bee Gees.

    Try googling it. I found this at wikipedia:

    In addition to rock disco nights, Neal would promote early live performances of NWOBHM bands such as Samson, Angel Witch, Praying Mantis, Saxon and Iron Maiden, who titled their debut EP release “The Soundhouse Tapes” in honour of the venue.

    Thanks.
    I have found some, but disco-metal wasn't an easy genre to manage out..
    Disco on the other hand was easy to find and I have listened to The Bee Gees and Boney M for example..

    Keep giving me tips!

    Officially, there is no such subgenre of metal or disco music but a lot of metal artists (especially industrial and alternative metal bands) use various electronic sounds, and disco, usually trance, rythms. That type of metal is also called "evil disco" or "rhythmic trancecore". Early evil disco band was White Zombie with song like "i'm yout boogie man, thunder kiss 65'"...another great band is Static-X...songs like "Push It", "Destroyer"....itd...

    disco metal??

    There was a certain amount of disco influence in metal by the end of the 70's (some NWOBHM bands claim they got their bass triplets from jazz, yeah right). Check out Devil Eyes by Mercyful Fatehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jsSMXzNu0c too bad there isn't a lot more stuff like this

    Hm dont know anything about disco metal, but here are two songs I think fit best to Disco Metal from what I know:

    YouTube - Nonpoint-Bullet With A Name
    YouTube - Mindless Self Indulgence "Shut Me Up" music video

    Have fun (;

    EDIT: Hm heard the song postet before this, I think Disco Metal is not what in sounds in my ears...

    anyway, I`ll leave the videos in this post, maybe you like them (;

    Last year I started a Disco-Metal band, we're still seeking a vocalist and in process of auditioning and arm twisting Greg from Carried by Six to step up check out what we got so far TUMULT on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads this is all very rough and my first experience recording my ideas digitally. Hoping that I can get my bro Shane McFee to lend his experience and expertise with the rest of the recordings

    I know this isn't suffocation or anything but it's a start to something exciting for me atleast

    Paul Sabu "We're gonna rock" & Ram Jam "Black Betty." Not exactly heavy metal but they rock (kind of).
