A small review of the M3 Music Card
I was supposed to buy a M6 SL 8GB to replace my (still working and in perfect shape) 4GB version, but unfortunately ********* was running out of stock when I bought it. Then I got an e-mail from Raz, pointing the problem and trying to solve the problem offering me his last (and lost in the stock room) M3 Music Card or a refund. I said yes to the player, and the little box arrived after a couple of weeks…
Well, first thing about this player is: WOW! It is soooo cute! Lol
A small unit, very thin (7mm), with a nice look on both sides, a tiny screen, but very accurate, and almost (if not equal) the same hardware from his bigger brother, the M6.
Just a perfect player to listen to your music!
The Wolfson DAC will give you the best sound quality I ever heard on a player. Not only this, it is full of EQ settings and sound effects (like bass and treble boosts and some weird flanger effect called Spatializer) and have a 10 band custom EQ that goes from -15 to +15 (31 positions) each band… I have no words to describe this custom EQ…
It will sort your files properly if you have the Id3Tags OK and the best thing ever: You can build lots of playlists! Not only this, I tried in other players to add the entire folder to favorites with no joy, but you can do it on Meizu players… An album folder or even artist folder (and it will add the tracks to your playlists by folder)…
It will show a tiny album art (yes, something at the size of a bug, but you can see it, lol) and you can even watch a video on it, but come on… on that screen? Meizu guys were kidding when they implemented the feature!
The battery will last for 18 hours or so with the screen off, really nice if you use it hard just like me!
The only weird thing about this player is the << >> key, that you need to quick press to go into next track, or long press to transform the button on << , then press again to come back to the beginning of the track or go to previous track.
It is not better than M6 SL, but it is quite near. One of the things that made me love my M6 is the FiiO dock, so, the M3 will not stole its place, but it is a hell of a player! Thanks to Raz and guys from www.*********.net for throw me this little shiny player!
