Firmware issues - persistent green screen

I went through the FAQ, a number of threads, I managed to get the dfu update working with both an old pc and my laptop on linux...

To a point - I get a persistent green screen, I have moved both files on the card, each time, and still gotten a green screen each time.

I have absolutely no idea how to manage, and each firmware update I attempted using dfu has produced a black screen with a white box in the middle. The firmware used was the march update, the card was bought two weeks ago.

If you see a green screen saying "No Resource" you only have to copy the resource.bin file to the player's root directory and then restart it.

Green screen means you only need to copy the resource file to the player.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

    Retried...
It did update the resource after about 10 seconds of pressing the power button, unlike the 3 to turn off 3 to turn back on I had understood elsewhere.

Hah, checked after I woke up - it went to sleep about 10 minutes after I did, so I had to restart.
The screen locks at the "Meizu" splash screen, andd turns down - I halfway hope this was a recharge issue.
