m3 freezes

When i try to cennect the m3 to my pc the m3 freezes and the only thing i can do is hard reboot. what can i try to solve this?

Try changing the USB mode.

i have tried both usb options and both give the same freezes. i also tried it on 3 computers all with the sae efffect that the m3 freezes. and it also hangs now when i try to shut it down. with the m3 saying shutting down

i also tried to upgrade the frimware with the dfu tool but that gets stuck om tranfering the first image and even after 20 mins he does not give a error message.

after i dit a format of the m3 it would no longer freeze after i connect it to usb. sonow i will put new firmware on it and hope the trouble are gone

Welcome to the forums. You do know that you do not use DFU Tools to install firmware right? DFU Tools is a last resort option to save your player if say you upgraded your M3 firmware using Firmware for the M6. To upgrade the firmware, just grab the M3.ebn, and resource.bin from en.meizu.com's download section, plug your player in, put both the files into your player's drive in My Computer, and reboot your player. There should be a white screen for about 5 mins, so don't think your players bricked. Just leave it alone for that amount of time. Enjoy your player.

i knew that dfu tools where last resort but i was out ofg other ideas since there was no other way to get files on it. tho looking back i think i shouold had tried the format sooner. but i learned atleased some things.. thanks for all the ideas and help

hey, i find myself with the same problem as thoemda... my meizu is refusing to communicate with my computer (os x 10.4). although it sees my files in browser mode, it will not play a song (just says "Please Select Music For Playing" constantly) and when i plug it in while on it just freezes and has to be hard shut down. it'll charge properly if i plug it in while it's off... i'm thinking of trying to let it die and see what happens. i was looking for a master reset (as i can't connect to upgrade the firmware, even disk utility won't see it, tried both usb modes) but i didn't see anything about it in the manual.
