I have problems trying to get the player to display chinese lyrics correctly. I've tried to save them in UTF format but they all become garbled characters and symbols. Nothing appear at all when I save them as Unicode. I also have tried to switch the language of the player(english, simplified chinese, trad chinese), the characters seem to change but they're all still jumbled up characters and nonsenses.
The odd thing is, the player is able to display chinese characters nicely for the titles and album names etc, but not the lyrics.
Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Oh I forgot to add that my player is using firmware T2.004.6.Last edited by Hikaruki; 04-19-2008 at 05:58 AM.

As far I remember, it has to do with the encoding of your LRC files.
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsAFAIK Meizu's OS uses UTF-8, not UTF-16 for text encoding when the Language is set to English.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThanks for the replies. I'm sure my lrc files are all in UTF-8 encoding and I've also tried switching the language of the player(both chinese traditional and chinese simplified) but the words are still appearing as symbols and nonsense words.
I haven't tried saving them in UTF-16 encoding, how do I do that? Notepad only allows me to save in UTF-8.
I attached the one of the lrc files(wobupei.rar, it won't let me attach .lrc files) that are showing up as garbled text in the player, can anyone see if there's anything wrong with the file?
