My music card sounds like a scratched record

My M3 starts stuttering like a broken record for a little while some times when I'm out walking with it in my pocket. This also happens when it has been laying still for a while and then you pick it up or move it. It sounds almost like that (well known) problem it has at the end of some songs, but this seems more like a hardware problem to me. Right? Is there any way to hard reset the player to see?

by the way: the problem only appears when I'm listening to music and not to radio, or when I'm whatching video. What might this indicate?

Really?! Mine too! But it scratches only since i upgraded my firmware to 2004.2. Now i will "downgrade" it to 2003.4 and let's see...
(I'm hungarian, so i tried only this two fw... these are avaliable in my language)

Thanx for your help. You were right. It was a firmware problem after all. I downgraded to 2003.4 and the broken record syndrome seems to be gone. Maybe the 2004 firmware makes the player more sensetive to movement.

I don't think so. This player is fully immune to movement 'couse it doesn't contain any moving parts. But the firmware downgrade has solved my problem too!
