Accessories...Silicon Case? Crystal Case?

Hello all.

I just want to know which one to get? I have no experience of owning an PMP before so I want to know which one is the best? I mean I have seen the silicon cases for the ipods. They seem to provide no protection to the screen? Shouldn't a cover protect the screen?

Whats the deal with these crystal cases? They seem to like a plastic case in which you can fit the M3 and then close it with the cover? Am I wrong?

So which one of these is the best way to protect your player?

I say you don't need anything else than the original protective foils the player comes with. If you take care of your player it won't scratch.
I hate silicone cases because:
1, they make you player thick and ugly
2, you cannot slide it into your pocket, because it's like rubber
I haven't tried crystal cases jet, but if you want something protective they sure do the job.

Crystal cases also adds bulk and hides the beauty of the slim player. I'd use nothing, especially as the M3 nowadays comes with a brushed metal back which is less prone to scratches.

By the protective foils you mean the plastic that its wrapped in? The plastic looks so bad...I mean it sure does the job...but whenever I put it in my pocket I worry that its going to come off or something.

Your points about the silicon not sliding into the pocket makes a lot of sense....plus even though right now I'm in the UK, I am moving to a hotter country in the coming few months. I expect silicon will cause problems in the heat as well.

I am considering the crystal case for now. The silicon doesnt protect the screen anyway.

I'm not sure, because I don't have a M3, but the M6 comes with a screen protector film on it. It's not likely to come off or anything, you don't have to worry about that.
