Exclamation Help My Mini Player Isn't Working Anymore!

I got a Meizu 4 over Christmas and it worked great until yesterday. I went to turn it on and I got this green screen that said No Resources! Please Upgrade Resources Again! I've tried to recharge the battery, reset the player, even reload the player without success. Can anyone tell me what's wrong and how to remedy it? Thanks, Vince

It's easy, just reload the resource.bin file to your player! Download the firmware you have on your player currently, and copy the resource.bin file to the root folder of your player. Then restart it and voila

Hi guys! I read very carefully how to treat M3 in case it doeasn't work. So, I tried all the steps which are described below. And it worked - it found USB dfu , installed some drivers from the path i selected (folder DFU Tools). after that I connected it again, ran "DFU tools" and gave DOWNLOAD. But then the message: "ERROR - Failed to verify device firmware" appeared
(see - http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/494...otmeizuhb0.png ) Does anybody from you know what should I do now? The player is M3 - I think the firmware is correct as I uploaded this firmware to 2 another players and it worked correctly - not this last one Well, the thing is this one which doesnt work anymore is 8GB , the previous 2 are 4 GB... But I guess that shouldn't be the problem... Many thanks for your replies!!!

@tomik: I have never encountered that problem before (mine's a Black 8 GB M3). Maybe you didn't hold the M and Play buttons for the whole procedure?

No no, cable is ok, tried another one.... The "resuscitation" stops suddenly in the middle of "Downloading picture 1", because the USB device is disconnected from the computer Have no idea why...

Try setting your USB ports to 1.1 in the BIOS. Make sure you set them back to 2.0 afterwards as they'll be damn slow in 1.1 mode.

Well, non of my computer has a possibility to switch to USB 1.1 mode in bios. But it is not a problem, I think I could find some older computer that even doesnt sussport USB 2.0 , but only 1.1 - but - do U really think it might be a reason why the dead M3 is kicked out and disconnected whilst it downloads firmware using DFU? I mean - if U think it might be a reson, of course I will try (I would try anything to repair my M3 ), but I am just a little bit surprised. So , please do not get angry or something and tell me if I should go and find some computer with USB 1.1. Many thanks...

that usually happens to me with my m6 and i was frustrated until i read it somewhere that after u hear the disconnect sound, you wait five minutes then UNPLUG THE USB FROM THE M6. it works for me, i hope it works 4 u.

Well, I don't think it's a USB 1.1 problem. The symptom of M3 disconnecting while connected to the computer is a known problem (at least by me ). You should wait a while after connecting the M3 to the computer, to make sure that the M3 won't disconnect by itself. Look in the other thread you started, I've posted some tips there.

    dead m3 help

I tell you what to do. It worked for me on xp, maybe it works on vista too.
go to the dfu tool installation folder.
Edit the secdfu file. Write "S5L8700 Rev.1" instead of "SST39VF800.dfu"
And write M3.EBN instead of M6.EBN.
Copy an paste the M3.EBN and the resource file to the folder.
    open dfu tools.
connect the player while you hold the play and m button. And during the whole procedure you have to hold them.
Press download and it should be done.
I hope it works, cos it really worked for me and made my player living again.
where is the M3.EBN file located ??? theres no EBN file in the DFU tool folder??
can some one provide a step by step guide to recover m3 player. it flashes white for a second before its dead when i press play.

    need some help...
I've downloaded dfu tool and installed it. I also dl the latest firm for M3.
Finally, i corrected the file system in order it accept my M3.

Every thing seems working well, but when i install the whole thing, it starts to up date but get sticked but at one third of the program. I mean that the cursor begins to run and then stop at the fourth bar.

Can you help me out ?

On my DFU screen I have on the line "device" : S5L8700 Rev.1
On the line " image 1" it's blank
On the line " image 2", i have M3.EBN, which is replaced by the download cursor stucked up at the fourth bar
And on the line " Status" Ican read Downloading Image 1...

My question is which kindof image should i have on " Image 1" ?

    Any help will be welcome

    Same problem again.

When I open DFU Tools, all buttons are disabled (greyed out) except for the close button.

Player connected or not, play and menu pushed or not; buttons stay disabled.

    Any advice?

Try holding the Play and Menu buttons hard and plugging your player in without letting them go. Continue to hold them and you should be fine. May I ask why you are using DFU Tools?
If you are having trouble with your player, please visit this thread first and try the steps before you panic. Most likely you will be able to fix your player easily using the steps listed.
