Hello i am new in this forum and i think it's great!.
My question is how do i get Album art wich i know is supported in m3 i tryed different ways specified in the forum and non worked.
1. In what direcotry should the pics be in?
2. In what size (80/80 i think)?
3. How should thay be named (And what do yuo mean by %
.
4. does it matter if the titles of the songs are long or do they scroll.
5. Anything else i should know.
Last thing can i use any of the skins on this site without distroying my Hebrew Firmware?Last edited by urich; 09-16-2007 at 08:56 AM. Reason: Found answer on site

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThe only way that works for me is putting the image in the same folder as the songs and naming it as the album ID3 tag. For example:
music/Garbage - Version 2.0
music/Garbage - Version 2.0/01 - Temptation waits.mp3
music/Garbage - Version 2.0/... (rest of the songs) ...
music/Garbage - Version 2.0/Version 2.0.jpg
If the name of the jpg is not the same as the ID3 album tag in the song, it won't be shown when playing it.
I have all the images resized to a maximum of 80x80.
This is with the 2003.4 firmware.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postshi,
to add to he last reply:
i saw a nice simple description of the parameters and location earlier
this is a copy of the message, which was posted here :
> picture name has to be equal to the "album" field of the id3 tag of your song
> picture must be a 100x100 jpg (larger sizes work as well but give no benefit)
> put picture in the same folder as the mp3
> don't use special characters
and found this just now

Do the following:
. create a folder named \ALBUMS in the same level of \MUSIC, \PICTURES, \VIDEO
. put there a .jpg with the cover art with the following format name: aaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAA where:
a = album name (it doesn't matter how long it is)
A = Artist Name (same as above)
. AAAAAAAAAAA (artist name must fit exactly the name of the folder of the artist under \MUSIC)
. aaaaaaaaaaaa (album name must fit exactly the name of the folder of the artist under \MUSIC\AAAA)
example:
The Beatles - Abbey Road
\ALBUMS contains Abbey RoadThe Beatles.jpg cover art of any size. Recommendable 80x80
\MUSIC contains folder \The Beatles contains folder \Abbey Road contains songs
