    Using the M3 with Linux

I plan on purchasing the M3 (4GB version) and I wanted to know if it has any problem working with Linux (by working, I mean stuff like updating firmware, moving and erasing files, etc.). I use Ubuntu Linux in its latest version (Feisty Fawn). Thanks.

hey dude, nope there shouldn't be any problems with using any *nix OS. I haven't tried it myself, but all should work smooth, as there is no additional software that has to be installed. (apart from converting the videos if you want to do so)

I use Fedora Core 6 with my M6, no problems. I even have the video converter tool working just fine under WINE. There is also a DFU toolbox for Linux, but I've not yet tried it.

TUCG, may I inquire as to which app you're using in Ubuntu to manage your music/ M3?

    Curious.
