My new M3 is dead. :(

    I have a 2 weeks old M3 player...
I was listening to a track that has variable bitrate and was fast forwarding the progress of the song and suddenly it froze.

Not kind of any buttons combination is working. It's dead. Is there a way to force shutdown? I didn't do any firmware update, it's the one comes from the factory. I didn't change the skin..

I really liked the M3 but I'm not sure I can trust it anymore if it died so easily. What should I do? Return it to the store and get the M6?

press and hold the pause/play button for 10 seconds. That will force shutdown and restart as well.

Similar thing happend to me, which was that i tried to play a video file that was not encoded xvid codec or wrong resolution. I did the above and continued to work fine thereafter.

Never loose hope until you tried every last thing possible.

It doesn't work. I already pressed and hold pause/play for more than a minute and no shut down. It's stuck!
I guess the only time it'll get shut down is when the battery will run out..

I'm taking it back to the store..

Oh, i forgot to mention, make sure the hold button is not switched on when doing anything. Switch off for buttons to work.

Yeah if you got from a shop then you can go back there, and they should either fix or give replacement. Make sure to take receipt with you.

Yes of course I tried it without hold being on. But I have good new, it came back to life! I tried the forced shutdown several times again and it worked. :D

I think I'll try the firmware upgrade and hope it won't happen again.
