M3 is dead...

    M3 is dead...

    Hi,

    tried to upgrader my M3 from 20001.3 to 20003.4, few seconds later after "Upgrading software" appeared, it turned black. My computer doesnt recognize it as USB, reset also doesnt work, only black screen....

    any ideas how to recover it?

    Firmware is loaded in 2 stages, first the M3.EBN file is loaded and you get the "Updating Software" message then the player will shutdown. You need to then restart the player and the resource.bin is loaded and you should get the "Updating Resources" message and the player should then boot as normal.

    Did you even read the upgrading procedure?
    Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

    It turned black after the 1 step..... then I tried to turn it on - no any response... is there some kind of DFU for m3 ?

    Whilst I did work out how to get my M3 noticed as a DFU device the DFU tool does not work with the M3 because it is optimised for the M6 and does not recognise the M3 firmware as valid.

    I suggest you contact your seller to return it for repair.

    Brand new to this forum and the M3. Where do I find the upgrading procedure? Have looked through this forum but unable to find.

    It is the same procedure like for M6, the only difference is the name of the files (M3.EBN instead of M6.EBN).
    You can find the instruction in the FAQ.
