I connect my M3 to my Linux server during the night to recharge it, but I never tried to mount. Can you specify how you try to mount it ? What are the issues you mention ?

Also if you have access to another PC that recognize it you can try to upgrade the firmware, but there are little chance that it fixes the problem.

Have you ever mounted a usb flash key/drive on your linux box?

Once you plug-it-in....your system should recognize it, and associate it with a device file that can be mounted.

If it is truly MSC compliant, I should be able to mount on my linux box.
I do this for usb keys, and my sansa e260 that I recently handme-downed to the teenager @home.

I will try upgrading the firmware while keeping fingers Xd.

    thanks,

tried again on my opensuse box @home...It worked!!
started coping music to new player :D

    > df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
    /dev/sda2 20641788 12946548 6646600 67% /
    udev 1030124 120 1030004 1% /dev
    /dev/sda3 36392688 7351752 27192260 22% /home
    /dev/sdb 59107636 30543848 25561208 55% /space
    /dev/sdc 59107636 12363056 43742000 23% /apps
    /dev/sdh 8005696 265920 7739776 4% /media/meizu

    How do you mount?
do a "dmesg" from an xterm after you connect your player (to determine associated device):

sdh: assuming drive cache: write through
    sdh:

I mount removable media under the /media directory, so I created a directory called "meizu"
add the following entry in your /etc/fstab file

    > grep sdh /etc/fstab
    /dev/sdh /media/meizu vfat noauto,noatime,users,shortname=win95,check=s 0 0

now to mount, type "mount /media/meizu"

don't forget to umount when your done...

    I'm happy again :D
