you can have the M3 play files by
Title
Filename
Artist
Album

of course you can use playlists made in Winamp or so too

a pure direct option to play per folder is not available though I think. The only way to achieve this is to label the songs in a certain folder as an album

so if you have 10 totally different songs from 10 different artists in 1 folder and you want the M3 to play those 10 songs after one another you could consider including a made up album name like "compilation 2007" in the tag...

You can play a folder from the browser. Click on a folder and select "Play".

Is there a way to have it play everything from an artist from the artist or music menu? It brings up the list of albums and I don't see a way to play them all. Is the browser the only way?

Also, my random doesn't seem very random. I have random on and play 'all songs', but it seems to go through a small group of artists for a bit, then another small group of artists...

Thanks!

Pushing the play button instead of tapping the middle of the slider plays the entire folder/artist/album (everything which is accessible in submenus). This works in the browser, but also in the music menu and artist/album submenus.

No, it is not possible.. This problem has been discussed many times. Some like it, most hate it. Sorry.
