I was informed that the audio quality of the Music Card is better then the quality of the Mini Player. Is this true and if so by how much? If the difference is only noticed when using expensive headphones, then I probably won't notice it since I don't spend more then 20USD on headphones.

Of course there is a difference. They have two distinct sound images and it will be heard with any headphones - no matter price.
For me, the M6 sound is more deep and bassy, while the M3 sound is more crisp & clear. Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!

Yes it is

I think Error gives a rather accurate description.
The sound of the M6 is more bass filled yet the M3 is more crisp yet does not lack bass..
I dont know if you can hear the diffrence with the bundled earphones but I certainly hear the crisper sound of the M3 with my Shure earphones

personally i wouldn't decide on quality of sound in this case as both players sound great.
The biggest difference between the M3 and M6 is the display.
If you like big bright displays that play video well go for the M6, if you prefer a super tiny player and don't care about video go for the M3

M3 sound quality
I have a couple of mp4 players unbranded, a good Koss earphone, I have had an iPod machine borrowed for some time, a good ear and I can assure that the sound of M3 machine is the best I've heard in this type of machines. According with a friends from www.mympxplayer.com owner of a Meizu M6 this M3 is better than M6.
I just want that in the next version of firmware, the problem of the # tracks within Artist and Album were fixed, to makes this the best machine of his kind.

Any way, I miss to say that earphones provided with M3 Music Card are enough good to judge how good is the sound :P
