There are 2 additions to the change log which I ran through online translation,

12. corrects occasionally Huaping phenomenon; ( Have no idea what this is ?)

13. revised "natural headphone" the character string. ( Some text strings have been changed to stop overlap on the small screen)

wow seems like they are hard at work over there.

good job!

ill install it right now and see(hear?) if i see any differences in "Huaping"

EDIT: the "natural headphone"text problem has been solved by just removing the world Natural
as for the rest this update doesn't seem to do much
then again i haven't figured out what huaping is

Possible stupid question:

I am ordering my Meizu M3 this week. When it arrives I plan on upgrading with the new firmware. But when I do so, will this latest version account for problems that the last firware addressed or will I need to install the old firmware first and then the new firmware?

Sorry if I don't make sense.

just install the newest version right away... no need to bother with the old ones

just copy paste the 2 files of the newest firmware to the root folder,
restart player and you're done

Is there a ressource editor for this firmware ?
Because the 2 ressources editors doen't work with M3 since 2.003.3

Ouch. When will we be able to edit theme for new firmware? Because it kinda is boring with the same theme all the time.

I have installed 2.003.4 firmware on my M3 player.
Since this version, I can play some *.WMA (encoded in 64KBps VBR) which didn't be played before.

But I have always one same problem, when I copy 6 Gb of *.WMA on my M3 player: the *.WMA, which are beyond the first 3.8 Gb of M3's flash memory, can't be played! Why? The 2.003.4 firmware is not yet perfect...

Another thing is the 'Update Library'! I'm tired to see the M3 do an update library each time after disconnected M3 from USB or pouch 'Hold' button. Especially if there are 6 Gb of music on my M3, it's very long to update each time!

does 64 kb WMA give any descent sound??

I agree when it comes to the update library thing... the M6 has the same and ist very annoying

However, consider yourself lucky as the M3 does it much faster than the M6

Sas-seb, do you have a 4gb player? There is only 3.8gb free because the momory is formated. The other 200mb is system files and other stuff.

some of my findings

more stable way of updating firmware/resource file
- plug in player to USB
- delete 'SETTIGS.DAT' from SYSTEM folder
- copy resource file into root directory
- do not unplug USB, but depress the ENTER button(for M6), PLAY button(for M3). This will force the player to go on reset, so firmware will be updated properly without corrupting the 'SETTIGS.DAT' file.

I hv seen lots of enthusiasm on latest firmware...and members upgrading... but nonetheless there are occasions where it 'mess up' your existing setting if you're not carefull. As for me, a 'non-techno guy' I keep it simple and enjoy the music ...like the saying goes ..if it aint broken, dont fix it..dude
cheer !!

The upcoming firmware should have changes based on their official website, which are:
  • Games
  • Fast forward and rewinding on videos
  • Viewing stream information on videos
  • Viewing details of pictures
There just some that ive seen mentioned that the current firmware doesn't have (M3 T2.003.4). Expect these in the new firmware.
