Angry Problem viewing photos/wallpapaper on M3

Thanks to all on this site who inspired me to buy the excellent M3.

However, after a problem upgrading to the most recent firmware I had to format the card.

Now, I cannot view any pictures that I paste into PICTURES directory. Even the original wallpaper bmps that were re-posted to this site. Nor any other pix i put in there, even resized.

PICTURES folder no longer has the PHOTO LIBRARY and SLIDE SHOW folders, if this is relevant.

Can't find any other forum topics to solve this, so posting in desperation.
How do I view pictures, set as wallpaper, and what size and format should pix be?

    Grateful for your help.

rigadoon, I had a problem with pictures an album art after updating from 2.003.2 to 2.003.3. Try deleting all the settings files in the System folder and then restart the player this fixed the problem for me.

    still won't display

thanks for the advice. I deleted the settings file and restarted - didn't change. Then deleted the FM config file and restarted - also didn't change. The photo files I have put into PICTURES just have empty white icons next to them. If you click on them, the only option is to Delete or Cancel.

Update: simple problem really, now fixed thanks to this thread:

    Picture Viewing

Set your main menu to include PHOTOS and then you can view and set pix as wallpapers. Thanks anyway Madman.

Silly question, but are you sure you're in the photos menu? Sounds like you're in the browser.

maybe you accidentally just disabled the photo option from showing up in the main menu?

like jasmesthejust just said... the grey icons with only delete or cancel option are the ones that show up in the browser.
    now in the main menu

if the option photos doesn't show up in your main menu go to Settings-Main Menu and then set Photos to "on"
