Meizo M3 not recognized by Macbook Pro/Snow Leopard

Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard doesn't recognize Meizu.

Worked fine on Powerbook G4 with Tiger.

I know it should read as simply as a flash drive/memory stick but with Snow L. it doesn't.

It is recognized in teh disk utility but fails to mount on the desktop.

I saw some earlier posts about this in teh M6 section, I wondered if anyone had the same problem with an M3 and if there was a simple solution.
