Updating skins from 2.004.x to 2.004.5 is easy!

I found out recently that altough 2.004.x skins won't work directly with the newest firmware version (2.004.5), but it's easy to convert them, because image numbering is the same.
Here are the steps:

- just download the Resource Editor 1.22
- open the 2.004.x resource.bin file
- click Edit > Export All Pictures and save the pictures to a folder
- open the 2.004.5 resource file
- click Edit > Import All Pictures (point to the directory where you saved the images previously)
- click File > Save as
- upload the resource to your player, and enjoy the skin

That's it, really easy!

Have you tried it? Because the image numbering is the same, but 2.004.3 skins won't work with the 2.004.5 fw.

Hey, i have a little trouble with a related thing..
I like the Chilled Blue skin and i want to set it up to my 2004.4 FW.
So i open the Chilled Blue resource file and export all images to a folder. Then i open the 2004.4 FW resource file and import all pictures from the folder where i exported the Chilled Blue images. Save but i does't work.
Can anybody tell me why? Thanks.

Chilled blue is for firmware version 2.003.2, thats a lot diffrent then 2004.4 you have to use the converter as i said!

dravik, your converter doesn't work on that Chilled Blue skin that the guy was explaing to you. I've been trying for this past day and I haven't been able to convert it all, I just get a bunch of errors.

Also, for some odd reason I downloaded the S 2.004.3 firmware but it shows up as S 2.004.4 on the player???

Ok this works, and ive tested it, now my Skinviewer wil also work with 2.004.3 ^^

Yeah, the latest version (I think the one with English as default language) shows up as 2.004.4. It's normal.

The Resource editor comes up in CHinese by default and I can't change it into English! How do I turn it back into English?

Have you downloaded the Resource Editor from here? It should be english, but if not, you can change it in the Language menu :P
