black_font_skin

I made this skin to share. It is for firmware version s2004
It works well with black font.
Note: The font in the picture is not the same as in the skin (skin font looks better).
I tried to make the battery, but pink did not work as transparent. Perhaps someone could tell me what kind of file it has to be, because jpeg did not work. I even put in the pink pixel-by-pixel. Oh, well.
If you hate it, please tell me.
Thanks.

For the battery, save as .bmp, for me pink works well as transparent

All your images should be .bmp , as the one you get by exporting those from the original firmware with the resource editor

^ That's correct. Saving as JPEG will slightly modify the colors, and therefore it will no longer work.

Thanks, guys.
Now I have a different volume icon and play icon that I made.
I also discovered something else.
For play, pause, stop, ff, and rr icons, any color besides pink will read as black. I had made some colored icons (based on a traffic light theme) and they all read as black squares, so I had to remove them.
See image (attached) of these icons I made that did not work.

volume, play, pause ... icons take the font color.

When you create them, you can only use white and pink ... and maybe a certain grey, i remember that i saw grey in an original icon, but i'm not sure and i haven't tried it yet

So any colors except pink and maybe a certain grey will show on your meizu as the selected font color

Is it possible that using pink in the album art reads as transparent, or does the Meizu turn that off? If transparent works, then you could design an album art frame with holes in it like a postage stamp.

I noticed that if the album art is a small file, then it will show a bit smaller on the player. I'm not sure the size, I think 60x60 pixels or something like it.

i'm not sure if you have an album art with pink in it the player shows it transparent, but why don't you try it?
also i think album art is 80x80.

maybe if you set the music background to pink you can see inside your player :D:D:D (sorry that was awful, but i had to say it anyway :D)

nice2know_u, I would try it, but I stayed up all night last night. If I can remember, I'll try the pink album art thing later.
...or, maybe someone else wants to try it?

Oops! You're faster than me, PoUet!
Please let us know the results. : )

it doesn't work...since you save the albumart image to a jpg file it will loose some quality and the pink color changes... maybe if the player could read albumart from a bmp file.

update: tried with bmp, and it looks pink on the player, so definetely not working.

okay, completely pointless post, just ignore it :D

---
hmm weird: i'm still testing some other image formats, and now i don't have any albumart on my player and it still shows up! :D

update: i don't know why, but i loaded the original albumart image back on the player, and it was still showing the one with pink in it... i had to erase the albumart from within the browser and now it's okay.

update2: i made a transparent image and saved it to png, and after that i renamed it to jpg and the player showed a different image from an other album :D

Sorry about the small pic. I kept making it smaller and smaller to allow file size limitations until it was accepted.
