i prefer the non-gui. it has never given me a problem

this program is for firmware version 2.004.3

the m6 font import (without the new) is for firmware version 2.003.2

extract the non-gui version into c:\ in a directory called "font" (c:\font).
in the directory you should have:
font.exe
font.txt
readme.txt

u change the name of the font in the font.txt file.

Tahoma <--- 16x16 font face
Tahoma <--- 20x20 font face
Arial <--- 24x24 font face

read the readme.txt file

copy the resource.bin file (the one you want to change font in) in that same directory then click start and then click run. type "cmd" and press enter

when command prompt open.
1. type "cd c:\" (changes the directory to c
2. type "cd font" (changes the directory to font in c
3. type "font.exe resource.bin font.txt out.bin" (processes the font in the resource.bin file"

then a new file out.bin is created with the font. copy it to the root directory of the m6. then rename it to resource.bin

eject the m6 and you are done. start it up and then restart it.

there you go

make sure the font is installed on the system. you can use microsoft office or something similar to view the fonts. to install a new font, download it and copy the font file to c:\windows\fonts

Oh, the GUI has caused you a problem? I'm curious about the problem then, please tell!

Are there any restrictions on the font type? Does it have to be TrueType? Can it be a caps only or a no caps font?

Just curious, whenever I get mine.

Yes, I've had symbolic fonts excluded in the GUI. I thought that you wouldn't want to use a symbolic font for the Meizu, but if you do have a font which is marked symbolic (In other words, it's a TTF and doesn't appear in the list of the GUI) please tell me and I'll enable showing the symbolic fonts too.
It also can't display Type 1 and Opentype with Type 1 outlines type fonts in its preview. (That's a limitation on the loading method I've used, but if people use Type 1 fonts much, please tell me, and I'll look into fixing that)
