Is there an option in the Resource Editor that lets you preview all the images put together? Or do you have to manually build the preview "screenshots" yourself?

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsWhoever made this needs to give it the ability to export all images at once, because the other resource editor's .bmp files can't be read if you have an older version of Photoshop than CS2, apparently.

My Photoshop CS2, or any program in the CS2 suite can't open up the bmps created by the resource editor...just thinking about it now...I don't think any programs in the Macromedia Studio works either...
Check out the Resource Editor Image Help --> Here

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsYeah, none of the macromedia programs can open up the bitmaps. I stick the images in paint and then save it again and then open it up!

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsI got around it by downloading and using a freeware mass image file converter... this is it right here: FastStone Photo Resizer
It converted all the bitmaps into PNGs with no trouble, then Photoshop had no problem opening those. I just got done editing numbers onto the miniplayer images and resaving as Bitmap with Photoshop, then imported into this Resource Editor and creator the file for it.
Going to test it out tomorrow to find out the details of what images are actually used, and what PARTS of those images are used, since it's obvious some, like the music and volume bar, are cut pixel by pixel when you move the volume bar or watch the status bar move. Also gonna find out if a recolored image (when you change the text color) works fine if you add other colors into it, and if it only changes the white in the image.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsIt worked for me at the first try without any problem, my player resource is from version 1.010.3. I should perhaps mention that the editor still contains some Chinese texts and my system has Asian support installed. Check if you have the newest VGA drivers (their DLL integrates with every process and may cause instability). And since the editor converts PNG to BMP, check if your system has GDI+ installed (that's for Win98 - XP already has it).
I immediately hacked the player's pics and it works great!
One more thing, you should use Photoshop to save the BMP files you modify, because they should be 32 bits per pixel instead of 24 bpp in usual truecolor bitmaps.
