This list was made before V2.000 firmware. You can try skins working with V2.002.3 firmware in "modifications and skins" threads. Look for them a liitle bit !

I'm bringing this back up here... sorta dropped off it for a long time. Sorry, guys, but you coulda just added a link in here to your new skins.

I'm requesting from the skin creators if they could make a list of all skins they have done, and the firmware version they are for... and if you feel like it, a link to the skin thread you made fro the skins. I am going to start work on an official skin browser here that can be included in the top links bar so you no longer have to browse through a forums page by page, thread by thread to find them.

I had an idea fro a simple site that would take manual uploading by the admin to make it work, but after this weekend, I've discovered the incredible usefulness of PHP, and the vBulletin system... and now, I can already create the basid pages with the use of php to load MeizuMe vB styled pages. The only thing I need to figure out now is the big thing that will make the new place really kickass, and that's finding out how to create a page that will add info to a new part of the database, and allow uploading the preview image, the zip or rar file containing the resource file, and a description, then add it to a list. Also, I wanna have the ability to let people leave short comments and rate them (which I think now is pretty fair, because if you're a beginner, or not too good, you can't really expect a excellent rating, though it will drive you to get better). Also, the main page will list the last 5 skins automatically for the M6, M3, and M8 soon to be.

The list will be sortable by name, poster, firmware, date posted (default), or rating. You'll be able to view all skins by one user, and upload your own, or delete your own if you feel it necessary... maybe... I might leave that up entirely to the admin instead, though if someone does not want their skin displayed, they do have the right to choose that, being the creator.

It's going to be a lot of work, but maybe not after I figure out how to make a page that can send data to the server for the server to parse and upload into the right places and stuff. That will be the hard part, figuring out how to do that, but since all this stuff is in modules, and each part has already been done, and is right here on this forum already (upload attachments and upload images into gallery, arranging posts in order and being able to view only those by certain people, commenting/posting, etc.), I think I only need to know the code to do this, and the correct way to make it upload to the correct place and add the info to the database. I can already code a page and make it look right, and do simple php links, but not complex stuff like uploading.

After that, the only other thing is getting it on here... and that's something I have to think about. I plan on creating a preview tonight and for a few days, if it takes that long for each page, and putting it on my own site. If this link doesn't get anything, I'll ask Err0r about making a new sticky thread asking for all skins and stuff so that if and when it comes to be, the database can be created.

I'm thinking of also separating the firmwares into this new place, too, since it would be simple to do. Just a simple page for downloading whatever version of firmware you wanted, and a warning about TP and SP, and a link pointing to DFU Tools if you're there and have messed up your player. Very organized stuff. I'm thinking about the long term for this little project and am actually very into doing this php stuff, since it'd let me make my own site really great.

The list died out a long time ago when I had to move and didn't have any time to get on for months at a time.

Now, I am creating a new page for this forum that will be for selecting skins, and I'm not using the actual list anymore. I'm just using this topic to try to gather a new list from everyone that's made skins so they can possibly be added to the new skins page. If anything, I'm still figuring out php for vBulletin, so I might set up a temporary page offsite for this that I can practice setting up the php code for.

So for now, if you guys have made any skins, could you please list their names, what version of player and what version of software, and also a link to the original topic if you can spare a moment to get it and help me out a bit so I can keep coding this. Thanks!
