What does the resource editor allow you to do?

I'm curious as to what kinds of modifications can be made with the resource editor. It looks like it is primarily a way to change the graphics displayed by the player. Is there more to it?

I'm hoping it can be used to solve a problem have. When playing videos or viewing pictures the player displays a progress bar on a large grey background box. I'd love to get rid of both the bar and box. Can I at least get rid of the grey background box using the resource editor? Can I delete the graphic from the resource file or change it to something transparent?

You are right, you can change the graphics (&text) with the recource editor.

Unfortunately its not possible to get rid of the video/photo- background box,
nor make it transparent (same with the topbar).

So what happens if you change the box to the pink color that looks to be the transparent color?

Then you will see a pink box.
