Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsyou know, if you're just looking to change the background picture, you can always change it. just upload the picture you want to use as background into the m6 (make sure to put it in the PICTURE folder).
now go to Photos > Photo Library > select the pic you want and tap the center of the touch strip. you should now see the picture full screen. now tap the center of the touch strip again and choose Music Background (or any of the other choices, depending on where you want to see the background)
you don't really need the skins to change th background. the skins do change the overall look of the GUI though.

I know

It justthat I have had my M6 for a while now and I want to change the looks more than just a dirrent background...
i have a black-red faceplate now... i also wan a matching skin
I love the pulsating red/black background(not the complete GUI) of the Teclast T29... a skin thats uses that as a theme would be cool

Thanked 0 Times in 0 Postsyup, in order to upgrade (or downgrade) to a new firmware, you have to upload both the m6.ebn and resource.bin to the root of the miniplayer.
on the other hand, if you just want to use a new skin for a specific firmware, then you only need to upload the resource.bin for that skin. this is the answer to your first question.
to answer your second question, the firmware on your player must match the firmware that the skin was made for. the creators (or skinners, if you prefer
) always put the firmware that is compatible with their published skins. so if the skin was made for t1.010, then no, you can't use it for t1.009.
