Modding PLUM Keyboard
We got a new Keyboard with FW 0.9.3.3 and as far asi know it will be the standart-keyboard for FW 1.0.
As long as Meizu don't releases international keyboards we have to mod it by ourselfes.
Here i give you a summary how to modify the PLUM-Keyboard:
The file we have to change is UiResDll.dll. It is located in the windows-folder.
When you open the file with a resource-hacker (i use Radialix2) you will find 3 folders:

The first folder includes ini-files with the different keyboard-interfaces. Each key is discribed the following way:
Key1 is the name, x and y are the position of the key w and h are with and height.Code:[Key1]\r\n X = 28\r\n Y = 0\r\n W = 64\r\n H = 80\r\n CENTER = q\r\n
CENTER stands for the way you have to click on the key. And that is the cool thing: You can add LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN to every key.
The 2nd folder includes some unnecessary images and the cloud images.
The 3rd folder includes the keyboard-interfaces.

New possibilities:
- more than one char on each key (example: a key for 'kr')
- more than one group of chars on each key (press: o, slide down: ö, slide up: ó,..)
Known Bugs (0.9.3.3):
- keyboard writes wrong chars (easy to correct)
- emty clouds
- word will be deleted when it is still underlined and you write a special char or change the keyboard
For my opinion we should wait with modding because of the discribed bugs...

Sorrow 1 - FW 0.9.3.4 come back on ZTA4 keyboard and nobody now don't fix a bugs in the keyboard PlumSIP, I think.
Sorrow 2 - PlumSIP don't support russians charsets.
Good luck, guys.
I hope you will make a custom keyboard for european M8-owners, and we, the russian M8-owners will be happy for your success.

Thanked 1,049 Times in 391 PostsOld keyboard was brought back because there were many complaints about it, so they released a new firmware while they are fixing Plums. Don't worry, it will be back. We should probably ask them to make it unicode-compatible so we can write our special characters!

Thanked 269 Times in 146 Postsstrange...I at least could exchange all "x" <-> "y" for a custom keyboard...this works...
but it is not changed in opera landscape mode !!
So, is there another file besides UiResDll for the Plum-keyboard responsible????

i don't think that this was his question...

172: english
173: english capitals
182: chinese
188: browser
190: english landscape
191: english capitals landscape
198: chinese landscape
202: browser landscape
found that in the russian board ;-)
