Sure seems interesting. I think he's trying to describe how you create your own XIP file. I'm having some connectivity problems, I'll try again when my internet is fixed.

i played around a little with the tools, extracting, converting of the nb0 and bin was successful (it seems to be).
i repacked a "dump" folder, but the xip.bin is about 30mb bigger than the original one. i dont tried to flash the bin file yet.

OK,I'll try it:

How to DIY:
1,Get the ROM file and the tool(download link is at the end)
2,change the xip.bin to xip,nb0(use the microsoft offerd cvrnin.exe,the command is cvrtbin.exe -r -a 0x80100000 -w 32 -l 0x07f00528 xip.bin,I will offer you the bat)
3,get the xip.nb0,let's use the dumpromy.exe(use the zengbanxian(a person in meizu forum)'s cvrtbin.exe,the command is dumpromy.exe -d DUMP xip.nb0,and I will offer you the bat)
4,get the files from step 3,and we can DIY them(DIY what,how to diy need study,and add new mod file(?) may have a adress crash(?),and correct rhe addresses is a little complex,and I will intrduce latter)
5,pack the DIYed files,Let's use dumpromy.exe or the dumpromx.exe,and I use the dumpromx.exe and the command is dumpromx.exe -a new xip.nb0
6,pack and get a xip.nb0,and change it to xip.bin(use the m8factory.exe)
7,get the xip.bin,and flash it to the m8

first of all i wanna thank you for your effort to help us out with the translation.

maybe i should explain what's the main purpose or let me say the goal
that we wanna reach by getting a proper translation.

because some of us wanna patch some programs or pack our own firmware we are searching for a way how we could do this.

it's possible that there's another thread at the bbs-meizu forum that better explains how we could get our own firmware, but its rather hard to understand the things / how-to / tutorial because the google translation is hard to understand and shows many garbage.

at last i dont understand any chinese word, so i couldnt tell you what i dont understand because i could not understand a word.

i think your english is quite well and lightyears better than the chinese of google ^^
