Small tutorial: How to create cab for M8

This is small tutorial for creating cab files for M8. I think, that easier to make cab - edit some "dummy" cab, without files, but with all settings in it.
First your need WinCE cab manager, simply install it.
Than download dummy cab and place it somewhere, right-click mouse on it and select Edit wince cabinet - Wince cab manager will started.



In this window in right part you see all main parameters - Application name, install dir, etc. When you select parameter and double click it, will open window, in which you can edit parameter. In dummy cab all aparameters, that you must change called "XXX". You don't need to change some other options-they are all normal.

After you set parameters, select with mouse item Files in left part of window. In empty right par of window you can drag files and folders, which your cab install in M8. For example i drag to window file felix.exe and this window showed:


You must simply press OK and repeat this for all your files.

Then, if you don't want that your cab place icon on a desctop, go to the item Registry-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and delete SOFTWARE key.
If you want to place the icon on a desctop, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-SOFTWARE-Meizu-MiniOneShell-Main-XXX (you must rename XXX to your program name). You see this:


You must rename Execfilename, Displayname and Defaulticon to your names and, if you want, change Page and Order - to change place where the icon will show. You also must change Programid to some other.

That's all, save it and try to install

it seems that there are optional and required registry keys that
need to be set to show the application icon at the minioneshell.

optional:
AnimateIcon
Order
Page
ProgramID
IsHide
ProgramIcon (Found at the Clock Key)
KBS (Dont know what this key is able to do, found at the recorder-entry...)

required:
DefaultIcon
DisplayName
ExecFilename

i've tested the installation of some applications and it seems that you dont need to set the programid.

the included msn-messenger dont got this key:



the installations that i've tested so far, were all working without setting a programid-key.
