Damn!

Judging by the title and category placement, I thought you started porting over Android to the Meizu M8.

It would be absolutely fantastic to see android on the M8... But it will probably never happen...

Actually it is a shame that Meizu did not think of adapting android to their hardware, all of the software related problems would be in the past now...

Also, it would drastically cut software development expenses and bump up the release timeline...

Actually I am almost certain that when the M8 goes truely international, Android will be ported to it very soon. As an example look at what's happening to the palm Pre:
Palm Pre Android port already in progress

Android on meizu m8 will be awsome !!!!
We have to ask xda devellopers to do so
But it will be easier for them when the device will be launch wildly.

My Meizu
you bet!
I just changed my M8 versus HTC Magic (G2). Android just rocks...
But the phone design is just so so...
So the perfect phone would be a M8 3G with GPS and 5MP snapper running on Android Donut
But IMO the Android release will be closer to Waffle than to Donut lol

Meizu should release an Android rom / firmware for the M8.

M8 it's the battle horse of Meizu, I think that if they want to gain a western market share they should offer something very little offer... a nice and OPEN system, leaving a playground for programmers and users to customize the phone as they want.

J.Wong said m8 will have double OS:Win CE and Android
But the android on M8 is not the android but another MyMobile based on android(like China Mobile's OMS),and I think it can run all apps of Android like the OMS did.
I heard that from bbs.meizu.com

If it is based on Android then it's highly customizable and you can expect mod's and lot's of running apps.
