ThickButtons - it's an interesting convenient text input for touchscreens
ThickButtons - a new virtual keyboard is currently only available for Android 1.6 + in the future also for Windows Mobile.
The idea of the program is trivial simple: using a database of words from the T9 Text Input, the program expands, all these letters, which should be helpful to us during the writing and reduce the unnecessary.
This means that in theory should make fewer mistakes when writing.
If, during text entry made a mistake - removing bad entered letters will be enlarged to only those characters that are next to each other.
The program seems to be promising and we developers are open to proposals to improve the virtual keyboard.
So visit ThickButtons and share your experiences / ideas.http://www.meizume.com/polish/

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsA very nice idea! Unfortunately, I have just read that they only support English so far, but most popular languages will be supported till the end of 2010.

Thanked 0 Times in 0 PostsThink that ThickButtons is more helpful than SWYPE. Just looked some videos of both. SWYPE isn't so much faster than normal typing. And with ThickButtons you have a better chance to be faster and make less mistakes.

Thanked 50 Times in 30 PostsI haven't realized until now that SWYPE and ThickButtons are two different things...

Is it possible to use ThickButtons without T9? Because I don't use the official dictionary when typing in Swiss German. So if TB only thickens the buttons that are in an official dix, it will be useless for me (and for all those that use their own SMS-lingo).
