    It´s an open source messaging client ....

    i know it is possible to add icq contacts to someones jabber contactlist, but it is not possible to connect with icq on a jabber client isn't it`?

    try add icq transport in jabber account at PC. Next, add icq number in jabber contact list and try connect...

    Great idea to develop an instant-messaging client for the M8.

    But why don't we use use a allready existing library (e.g. libpurple: WhatIsLibpurple ? Pidgin ? Trac) instead of developing our own XMPP implementation and reinventing the wheel?!

    @crimson05: maybe I'll do if I have a bit more time. But you probably know: Als student hat man nie Zeit für sowas ;-)

    @HierOS: ys, I checked out the code and saw that, but libpurple has the advantage to you can use a lot of protocols, like: ICQ, MSN, Jabber...

    And what is with Pigeon? It´s not Multi but support ICQ, XMPP, Jabber and Gtalk.
    And MSN is on its way to join these!

    libpurple writen on c#, m8 sdk support c++
