    Amazing M7 Alternative

I have ordered one of these players and it is on its way, but I figured I might as well spread the word about this great player.

I agree it is a rip off of the Itouch interface. And I am fine without album art. And in comparison to other Chinese touch screen players, this player is phenomenal. I can't wait for it to come!

It looks very nice. I wouldn't mind buying one of these if it were the right price.

I think that $96.50 for 2gb, $104.50 for 4gb, and $124.50 for 8gb are extremely reasonable prices, especially considering the features of the player.

omg.. damn you for showing me this, i was saving up for a new phone!!!!

Probably gonna get one of these since they are so cheap, just a question though, should i get the non-branded one, or the teclast one? The only problem that might arise is that the non-branded one doesn't get any firmware updates, whereas the teclast one does?
    Current Rigs:

    4GB + 32GB iAudio D2 > Alessandro MS-Pro
Sony MZ-NH1 > Headroom Total Bithead > Grado Labs PS-1
    2GB Meizu M6 T1 > Not in use
    8GB iPod Touch 2G > Shure SE530

no the non branded one get his proper firmware but after your first update if you choose the teclast firmware you will able to update your player just with this firmware not with the rockchip one.

does "his" firmware offer anything more (i.e. more customisability, themes, etc) over the teclast firmware?

Aren't all the players of this world, which that stand vertically, with a big screen with some colours and some buttons a "ripoff" of iPod Touch?

This ancient qualification seems to me more words of an Apple agent than a serious PMP experienced owner.

    That sounds very painful.

the players are exactly the same from the same factory, teclast are just re-branders, they do not make this player, the same way that he is, teclast do not make the updates, the factory and rockchip do, so when an update some out it will come for his player, the advantage now is that he now has proper dealing direct with the factory and not just a supplier so hopefully we can get changes made to the firmware hat are more in relation to how we want it to work and not the Chinese way (no disrespect), plus of course he cuts out the middleman, going direct to the factory means saving buying from teclast

as for updates and modding, it is in the same boat as the other firmware, new tools are coming all the time to mod these new rockchip players, and i am sure also that you will be able to interchange between teclast and his firmware, but they will be the same anyway

as for it being an ipod clone, i am sorry, but how, some of the ui seems a little ipod like but that will be changed once it gets modded then he can relay the changes to the factory and make it look less like a pod

... also, ignore the promo images from teclast, as ever they put these out before knowing exactly what was to come from the factory, so the interface is not like them images (see one at top of post)
That shop has images of the actual interface, and no album art, or thumb image browsing as depicted in the telast images

    this is the actual interface

Looks alright but.. After my experience with the "HiPhone" I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

for the m6 it's the same method if you want to change the ui you have to use a program too and open the firmware with it.
