I only want to know some things or want a comparision regarding the Meizu M6.

Build Quality?
How is the menu / Touch feature?
Sound quality?
and how long is the battery life while playing?

Thanx in advance!

I used to get excited every time Teclast announced a new player. It always looked good on paper. But it was disappointing pretty much every time.

T29, C260, C280, C290. Then I stopped caring.

This depends on prices and from where you came when you reach your player... I get my Teclast C260 compatible after a generic Rockchip and before my Meizu M3.
Then was a big step forward, with the latest firmware this C260 (FX included) is still a nice player.

It's not comparable in any way with my Meizu M3 due to Rockchip limitations, but price was half the price of it. Due to this I don't see this Teclast player as an "M7 alternative"... it's just another player.

I have now had my S:flo ( Teclast T50 ) for a couple of days and I am very impressed with it so far.

When it arrived it had firmware version 1.05 loaded on to it and it was very buggy, it had a mind of it's own.

As there was no way to operate/control it while it was on autopilot, I decided to upload the Teclast T50 ver.1.07 firmware and it has almost totally cured all the autopilot issues ( sometimes enters into the record screen when first started but not always )

The user interface is very clean and easy to navigate, the touch , drag, flick and flip functions are really spot on and can be used by the same hand that is holding the player.

There are a number of customizations that you can carry out in the settings menu such as different desktops, background images and colours, fonts, etc.

The video is brilliant, wide screen with good viewing angles as well as the ability to drag the video to full size. I downloaded some DIVX and YouTube videos and uploaded them directly to the player without any conversion process, they played brilliantly with no lip sync issues. The pause and fast forward touch controls are excellent also

I would say that the music sound is not as good as the M6 SP but it's not far away. In my opinion it is slightly flat and slightly tinny with the Meizu headphones but the more I mess about with the EQ settings the more I like it. The album art is spot on with good sized images but it does not have album art navigation yet. At the moment there is a bug in the album id tag sorting and it places some songs under the wrong albums, artist etc.

The photo albums are amazing, you can stretch the images to zoom in/out and use one finger to pan around the images, one flick left or right navigates you around the album.

The radio and recording are straight forward and very good.

The build quality is equal to the M6 , the right weight, size and feel sort of thing and no screws or clips visible. The screen feels like top quality with no hollow / thin plastic tapping noises.

Well... that's my quick review over, maybe someone can give a more detailed review when they get their new players.

@douglas

which version of the s:flo du you have (2/4/8 Gb)

because the admin of mp4 nation says:
"Do Not Load the T50 firmware on your player, you have the 8GB version, it will brick your player"

I have the 2GB version but I doubt it would brick the player as you can gain access to the hidden partition and you can reload the raw uncompiled firmware to recover BUT do so at your own risk.

I had the T50 firmware loaded and as it was running smoothly I decided to put on the S:flo firmware and change the start up and close down graphics, that was a couple of hours ago and I can now say that it runs better with the Teclast firmware plus you get the ebook text to speech ( TTS ) with the T50 firmware.

I was amazed at the quality of the .FLV videos, they play better on my player than on my laptop.

Oh, did I mention that there is no unwanted noises at the end of the tracks and no stuttering.

I read somewhere that someone with a Meizu M6 SL said that the T50 music quality is the same, well it should as I believe it is using the same chip.

about the sound:

Thats correct! Meizu M6 SL and the s:flo Teclast T50 use the wolfson WM8987 audio chip!
