    Another vote for Cowon D2!
I used meizu M6, M3, but ended with Cowon.
M6 has more bass than D2 but product quality and overall impression is better in Cowon. Also after 1 year of usage Cowon did not even once crash, freeze or whatever. I had constant little problems with M6 and M3. I used m6 for 5 months. It has good sound, but I noticed problem with certain headphones I wanted to use (impedance problems). Output power was to low for my taste.
I used m3 for 3 months and was really disappointed. I mean, it is nice and small, but there was some firmware related problem with battery, so I sold it quickly and bought Cowon. Cowon has very powerful output! Oh, another good thing about Cowon D2 is also additional slot for SD memory cards. So memory is easily upgraded, especially since SD cards are cheaper and cheaper.
I also own iPod 5G 30GB but I use it almost exclusively attached to alpine car stereo, where it behaves great. Sound quality is not so good as Cowon or meizu, but output power is quiet good. I also use ipod shuffle for sports - running and cycling. It is very basic, but durable little player.
iTunes is pain in the a*s!
So my main player is Cowon! My second choice would be M6. can not comment other players.

Sorry for being off topic, but maybe someone else will benefit from this comparision.

    Best Regards

I have an Onda vx777LE, One of the newest onda players (only came out just before christmas).... And that has the best sound quality i have every heard..... Until I heard the sound quality from the (Newest) Onda vx545HD which has a Cirrus Logic DAC....... Now the sound coming from that, makes you think the sound from the Vx777LE is crap.........

now I have a Meizu m6 SL as well......
and i'd say that the ONDA vx545HD or vx535HD and the Meizu M6 are on the same level of sound quality......

    Onda VX787

If the Meizu M8 did came out in The Netherlands, I that was true I should run to the store and be the first one to have it. There was a shop who did sell the beta version (the one I want). I'm only 13 years so I'd need to collect some money first . But this shop is now repealed so I can't buy the M8 anymore from a Dutch reseller. I've got now the ONDA VX787. It's very good sound quality and a frend of mine told me it's the same good as the Meizu M6. Sorry for my bad English .

Yeah, but sound quality doesn't come from the sound card alone. There are many other engineering factors to take into account too.

I've had a few ONDA players, but must say I'm not a fan. The interface is always super ugly (especially the font!).
Can't wait to play with the Meizu MX!
