Is M6 an abandoned product? + one more question

Do they even think of updating the firmware for the M6 players? Can someone ask them on the official forums.

By the way my Menu button is failing on me sometimes (instead of going into menu it works like a << button). Is there any way to fix it?

The recent updates have been a joke - none of the major bugs got fixed. If I were you I wouldn't expect any miracles from them.

I could ask Yankee about it but they very busy on the M8, so they don't have enough people to take care of the M6 anymore.
Maybe there will be a miracle when we get close to the release of the M8 but don't make any hopes.

About your Menu button my doesn’t work very well either. I need to press very hard to let it response. I am going to use my warranty soon because I am 100% sure it’s a malfunction in the touchpad.
It has just gotten worse over the last months.

On your problem try search for it around here or use your warranty like me.
There might a chance you just need recalibration sometimes or reinstall your firmware.

If that didn't help you out you can also try like I do give your touchpad some kind of "massage" by pressing and moving a finger on your not working buttons a bit hard for minute while your player is turned off. This might let the buttons working better but maybe only for a while. I did fixed my >> and Play bottoms by this but now it's not work anymore on the M bottom.
It’s so annoying

I would not doubt it if they were to release a new firmware for the M6 after the M8 is released.

I chuckled at that.

It should be released by end of November, latest. Well that's the new timeline anyway. Just waiting for the licence now.

I still have my warranty (1 year left) but I have had some bad experience with the company I got the Meizu M6 from so I don't think I'm gonna use it (only if it dies COMPLETLY).

And I have mixed feelings about M8 quality as well.

As for my Menu button it seems to be working a lot better than the day I posted this, basically I've been pressing it like crazy when the player was off. Maybe some kind of dirt got into it?

I really hope they do fix some annoying issues in the M6 someday.
