Meizu wont boot

Hi

My meizu has been working fine in a couple of months but recently it just died and now I can't boot it again, the screen is pitch black, the computer doesn't recognize it, its just totally dead.

Any ideas how to solve this?

Thanks

DFU tools is your hope

download it from here :
DFU Tools

you will also need a firmware, choose the one for you ( SP or TP ) here :
Meizu M6 Firmware V1.010

and follow this :

Recover Your Player Using DFU Tools:

DFU Tools lets you recover your player if this suffered a problem and is not longer working. This should be the last option, so you have to try resets before using this tool. Here's a list of things you need to do to recover your player using DFU Tools:

1. Install DFU Tools on your computer (only available for Windows).
2. Copy the firmware files (M6.EBN and resource.bin) to the directory where the DFU Tool is installed.
3. Press and hold Power button and M button, then connect to PC using the USB cable.
4. Before that Windows New Hardware Wizard will appears, asking if you want to connect to Windows Update to check for drivers, click on “No, not this time”. Click on next.
5. The next screen of the wizard asks if you want to install automatically or using a specific location (advanced). Select the advanced option, and then click next.
6. Check the 'Include this location in the search' option and specify the directory where DFU Tools is installed, after that, click next.
7. Let windows finish installing drivers. Once drivers are installed, you can use the DFU Tools.
8. Run the application and then click Download. When this is complete click close.
9. Disconnect your Miniplayer from PC and turn it on.
10. Screen showed will be green now, so you have to install the firmware again. After that your player will work fine again.

Did you do anything that you can think of that might have killed your player?
If you state the problem, we might be able to figure out ways to help you, without using DFU tools (I myself have never used DFU tools before, and don't know what it is )

No, i just connected it to my xbox 360 to play some music and when I was entering a folder it just died, couldn't do it with DFU tools windows detects it as a unknown usbitem and when I'm installing it says that the current driver is newer.

My m6 wont turn on =\

Hi, I have a similair problem: after using it for many months without any problem, I wanted to upload new music to my M6SP player (4Gb). Windows reported me that "it saw hardware, but didnt know what it was". I tried to fix this problem by using 2 different PC's, reinstalling the USB drivers in the hardware profile in windows, I have tried using a boot CD with XP, resetting then formatting and finally Low Levelling the player to make my PC recognize the player again..

Nothing worked sofar.

Before I did a low level format the player was functioning perfectly (besides beeing recognized that is) and after the low level format it asked for the resourse file. The message asking for the resource file where on a green screen.

I have tried DFU tools, but windows does not accept the driver(s) in the DFU directory. Windows reports to me that the drivers I specify in the DFU directory are not for the player. I have no idea where to find working drivers
I did try atleast 2 versions of DFU tools.

*update: When I switched the player on this moring the green screen didnt show anymore, all I see now is a very short white flash, and the sreen stays black.

Help would be highly appreciated

yup... same problem. it's weird. it was working fine for the first three months that i got it, then it started having weird problems. randomly, it just wouldn't turn on. a white flash, and then black screen. and if i got lucky, it might turn on once, and that was the only time i could charge it. but recently, it's just been black screen. i've done all the resets multiple times, and finally used dfu tools, but that hasn't worked. what's going on?

I recieved my meizu just yesterday and twice it froze and had to shut it down. Had no idea how to turned on the first time, but after the 2nd time (15 minutes later), I couldnt get it starting again. So I Dled the DFU and firmware tools and put them in the right places. But when it came to installing the dfu...the laptop wouldnt confirm the location. Is there another way to work the DFU tool?

Thanks
