List of known bugs / problems with the Meizu M6
There's no denying that the Meizu M6 (and SL) has a few problems.
However, most problems are caused by user error. "Problems" such as green screen, no resource, dead players (majority of times) are due to users who do not follow instructions or use their players properly. These problems are overrepresented at Meizu Me, and someone looking to buy a Meizu might feel intimidated by them.
So, let's discuss the real problems of the Meizu M6 to help potential users better decide if the M6 is something for them or not.
This post will be updated as bugs / problems are collected.

Rare hangs (which can of course be fixed by a soft reset in a quickie)
Very slow loading playlists
Updates music library even after having been charged only
Unaccurate clock

I never assumed that you could be responsible for that.

- ogg vorbis Album Artist tag overwrites Album tag.
- eq transparency shows reversed from what it should be.

In my opinion there is only one major bug, which isn't fixed yet (and never will ...) - the stuttering at the end of some mp3 files.
The long loading process of playlists and the music library update after every disconnection from the PC are annoying but I think you can tolerate them.

my m6 also has some problems when there are more than around 30 pictures/wallpapers in one folder (resolution = 320x240). for some reason after the 30th or so picture the thumbnails are broken and while this occurs, opening the picture in fullview-mode makes my m6 freeze and leaves me with a black screen (it still shows the name of the picture etc, but there is no way to return to the menu...).
dunno if this is a problem in general or if it's just my m6 though...

unaccurate clock is linked to music update library after disconecting from computer (not when you choose update from menu or when it update after turn on). The clock stop, when meizu is updating library after disconnect.

most annoying is that sometimes for no reason at all my player shuts off, and when i turn it on again and listen to the exact same song it works, this strange bug occurs once every few days and is not linked to a specific file...

mines freezes often after changing wallpaper papers more than 3 times too soon. and also freezes when going into certaint picture and video folders... Stuttering of course is a problem, and sometimes it cuts off by itself.

Meizu not fixing the bugs in their firmware is the biggest problem for me.
For me i own the SL version and i have not encountered any end-of-song stuttering. My major complaint would be the long loading time for playlists.
But for its price, i feel it is acceptably good. Better audio quality and battery life than my iPod video. Lightweight and small size. Being able to play ogg vorbis makes me happy too. Now if only Meizu will release a new firmware that fixes all those fundamental bugs...

I am afraid I am going to have to differ. :D I don't get the stuttering but the long play list loading is unacceptable to me. I like to set up a play list and then forget about changing my music for a while. Maybe they should just fix all the bugs..... :P

that's the reason i started to use folders instead of playlists.
create a folder and rename your files like 1-song1, 2-song2, and set song order to filename.
i know this sux, but atm this is the only way to get some kind of "predictable" song order ;/
but what comes to my mind right now. does the m6 recognize links/shortcuts? so one would be able to leave the original song names alone and just create a folder with links/shortcuts to the files. mh... gonna try that later

[not really a problem but...]
the 2nd stage of boxman is IMPOSSIBLE to do lol... of course anything after that is hard too...
yes, the stutter at the end is really bad for our ears, and the touchpad sometimes goes crazy. inaccurate clock is a dumb one, should be fixed easily. other then that, no biggies.

audio problems
First let me state my Meizu,
M6 SP version, black 2GB
Headphones mostly used : Cannalphones
Audio is very hissy on easily driven earphones (Vsonic R-02 pro's)
Inheriant problem with the audio chip i know but it drives me crazy. Could possibly be fixed with attenuator plug.
Not a large problem with my Shure e2c's, but im going to get Some Super.fi 5 Pro's and see if their hissy with them.
Weird noise that is only active when the screen is off (i.e when the blacklight turns off, while playing a song), very noticable with easily driven headphones.
Again, noticed this with my Vsonic R-02 pro's. Really turned me off so i returned them.
End of track stutter.
Yea i get these on SOME tracks, not all of my songs suffer from this problem. When it does happen its sorta like Very loud Scratching sound, which wakes me up.
whitemoo.

I have a Meizu M6 and the bugs I've experienced are:
The stuttering at the end of songs (can be painful if you have the volume cranked up high)
The slow loading of playlists (the bigger the list, the longer the load)
The useless clock (useless because it is always slow)
The inability to get songs to play in order based on file name (there is an option to do that but it doesn't work)
Update music library occurs when it shouldn't, like when you plug the M6 into a USB with it turned off or when you turn the player on with the hold switch engaged and after it automatically turns off, turn it on again with the switch off and it will update the library even though it's physically impossible to add music.
Also what really bothers me is every time the music library is updated, the "my playlist" is deleted as well as what track you were listening to and recent video. This is especially annoying because I record some radio streams and listen to them in the order they were recorded. So lets say I'm halfway done and charge the m6, after I turn it back on it will start me off from the beginning. Now like many others, I've learned to deal with these problems and work around them. For example, all the playlists I make are small but usually I just put songs in specific folders so they play in the order I want, I never set the clock or use it, I never use the hold switch, and I don't plug my m6 into a usb for any reason whatsoever until I'm done listening to my music and movies or I can specifically remember what track/movie I was up to. In retrospect if I had to do it again, I would definitely not purchase an M6 and in the future I will never purchase a Meizu product again. Don't get me wrong, the M6 has a lot of cool features and potential, but it's the lack of polished firmware that ruins the M6. I can't possibly imagine how all these bugs were allowed in the final version of the M6 and how it's taken so long and no fixes have been released for it. Unfortunately for me the M6 isn't an iPod-killer, but a cheap asian-iPod-knockoff.
