M6 SL only lived for a couple of minutes

hey there,

i just received my brand new meizu m6 sl and was impressed by its size and functionality. to listen so some music i copied nearly 7 gb of music on it which took about half an hour.. after it i sat down and switched it on. at the beginning it was really loud so i wanted to lower the volume but the device didn't react the way i wanted. suddenly the player freezed and shortly after it the display turned black (died?).
now the meizu does not turn on again, not even to the see the charging status. if i connect it to my pc, windows still recognizes the player but acutually it doesnt help me alot... i copied the newest firmware on it, unplugged it and tried to switch it on - nothing...

please help me!!

Congrats on reviving your dead player! You're the first member who could do it without creating a bunch of new threads

lol, come on... now you're picking on the M6?

Every product has stability problems once in a while. It's only normal that a few M6 users also experience them.. but it's a mistake (or just rethoric) to say that this means "the M6 has stability problems". Heck, I had a Creative MuVo Tx before, and it gave me far more problems. In fact, after 5 months with my M6SL (and even after a few unnecessary FW upgrades), I had absolutely zero stability problems.
And the M6 even has an advantage on this field: unlike other similar products, it's virtually unbrickable thanks to DFU tools.

PS: You know your beloved Apple doesn't have a single product that can match the M6's audio quality, don't you?

Lol, "my beloved Apple"? I'm not that biased, thank you very much.

Putting the EQ on Rock makes the sound very acceptable imho. I don't feel a drop in music quality on that setting compared to the m6. Your m6 has most likely every EQ setting enabled as well.

Ontopic: great job on fixing it, use DFU only as a last resort though.

Using the EQ or sound effects is just a matter of taste, to make the sound a bit more interesting in low-end earphones... but with high-end phones many people prefer to just turn off everything, as it makes the sound unnatural (i.e. harms sound quality instead of improving it). The M6 is a favourite even for these people, so I guess I'm safe to say that it's not the EQ or effects that make it sound good
Personally, I do have the phase corrected equalizer set to 3, but that's about it.. I don't like the other EQ settings at all.

But I should get back on topic too:

Congrats on getting your M6SL back to life, alpopel!
I guess you just had some bad luck with your player... maybe it had a FW upgrade that went wrong before shipping..?

Anyway, as long as the problem is not hardware-related, DFU tools should always be able to get your M6 back from the dead. How was it to use DFU for the first time?
