HOLD ON! Before you take it apart, try banging it on the table with a towel underneath the player. This way, it could jam the cable back in. DO NOT take the M6 apart, you could short-circuit the M6. Unless you have an ESD safe tweezers mat, and bracelet. I have only recently learned this the hard way. I broke 2 iPods because of static electricity. Just try banging it on the table first. If that does not work, chances ae it's a broken connector. Then, you can open it. You should get ESD supplies before working on static sensitive devices such as the motherboards of expensive devices.
