Wel I'm not really going to get those Kanons. The Sennheisers are pretty good. Gotta get use to them though! It's kinda funny how I can't hear anything around me :D

I am elated because I expect my Sennheiser CX300 the next week. I bought them together with a M6 SL 8GB on ebay last weak for 132,90 € incl. transfer.

What a pity that I am not this lucky person:
MEIZU M6 SL 8GB MP3 + Sennheiser CX300 In-Ear Kopfhörer bei eBay.de: (endet 19.03.08 19:32:12 MEZ)

Anyway 8-times more memory than Christmas 2006! for same price! :D

I'm a big fan of the V-Moda Bass Freq earbuds - I'm on my third pair after wearing out my first and losing my second set. They have really nice low end and are very comfortable (and I tried a lot of different 'phones, both inside- and outside-ear before I found these). Also saw these Sony's with good reviews with a discount today. Both are under $25 so not much risk in trying.

I have had a chance to try out the Meizu PT850 (without foam) now... oh my god. Yes, they may be ok for earphones they put in the box, but god are they aweful! No real
bass, but huge amounts of kick bass. And highs are somehow lacking too, and everything else, really. Sennheiser MX300 (with foam, no idea how they perform without) are by far better than that, they can provide at least some real, more or less deep bass, and are somewhat well balanced, at least compared to the PT850. Of course, the Koss KSC-50 are miles ahead of either of those, but at least the MX300 is miles ahead of the PT850. I like the shining metal of the PT850 though. :D

About the cheaper earphones:
I tested several Kanon earphones from dealextreme. All crap. The alu type noname earphones are not that bad, but still bad.
Kanon md 52 from futuredaps is the best in the under-30-€-priceclass. Better than AKG k324p, better than KOSS PortaPro. I can't compare them to high-end inears like vmoda vibes or ue as I couldn't test any of those expensive earphones.
The build quality is not perfect, though. They are quite sensitive to moisture and will become quiet (very bad output) for 20 hours (until the water has gone out?). When I had this problem the first time, I contacted futuredaps and they would have replaced it immediately (forunately that wasn't necessary as the problem solved itself the next day).
